Yuqing Sun, Ph.D.
Chief Data & AI Enablement Officer

Yuqing is a digital and data science leader with two decades of experience driving large-scale innovation. She brings a unique blend of supply chain and operations expertise, technical depth, and strategic execution to deliver measurable business impact. 

As Chief Data & AI Enablement Officer at Auger, Yuqing leads AI Enablement Engineering— our forward-deployed engineering organization that turns customer data into AI-ready intelligence. Her team develops and deploys data, AI, and analytics capabilities that power the Auger Operating System, enabling autonomous decision-making and execution across complex global supply chains. 

During her 19-year tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Yuqing pioneered data and AI solutions for global supply chains spanning Pharmaceuticals, MedTech, and Consumer Health sectors. As Vice President of Supply Chain Digital & Data Science, she defined the strategy and roadmap for digital transformation and led a global team in building and scaling more than 30 innovative products leveraging Optimization, Simulation/Digital Twin, IoT, ML/AI/GenAI, Computer Vision, and Advanced Visualization. 

These capabilities enabled end-to-end data connectivity, real-time visibility, predictive insights, and optimal decision-making across functions including Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Compliance. Through deep business partnership, her work delivered tangible outcomes in supply chain network design, demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, freight loading, production scheduling, manufacturing process control, and product inspection—enhancing reliability, efficiency, and customer value. Her initiatives earned multiple industry recognitions for business transformation and competitive advantage. 

Before joining J&J, Yuqing worked as a Research Consultant and Visiting Scholar at General Motors, focusing on vehicle data mining and business decision analytics. 

Yuqing holds a Ph.D. in Management Science & Engineering (Operations Research) and an M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University, an M.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University, and a B.S. in Automation & Control Engineering from Tsinghua University.
